Whenever a new rapper emerges, I tend to look deep into their roots and see what there about. The similarities among rappers these days are endless; Same background, same vision, and mainly: same location. Emerge 600 HJC, an up and coming rapper from Louisiana. Unlike most, 600 HJC presents himself as a humble, yet straightforward man with one goal; Climbing to the top. 600 HJC exerts all of his energy into music, using the strength from past experiences to propel himself forward. With that, I give you the 600 HJC interview.
Where are you from? Have your surroundings shaped you in a creative sense, and in what way?
I’m from Louisiana, swamps.
Yeah my surroundings shaped me to be creative. I’m from a small city with big dreams so I’m creating/shaping my own life.

What’s your background like? Where do you stand on the music scene in your area?
My background is straight kinda dark but I’ve overcome obstacles to be where I’m at. I think on the music scene in my area I’m not on top but I’m on top. They know how I’m coming, I say that cause whatever I do I do it 120%.

What did you start doing first, producing or rapping? How did you get started?
I started rapping first, then I started to produce my own tracks. An it’s gotten easier for me.
I got started with a pen and a wandering mine and wrote what I was thinking.

Do you have anyone that you consider your mentor? How has their help or advice shaped you?
Yeah I have looked up to @nefudaboss for my career to land in the right spot. We staying low key but the impact is all there.
Their advice help me to realize the process an just he patient an work to get better when it’s crunch time.

What do you hope to accomplish this year?
This year I hope to drop a full mixtape or a couple fire ? singles before I sign a contract.

What does your work aim to say?
Without the struggling and trials and tribulations in my life, I wouldn’t have been able to channel my thoughts and things that happen in my life into music.

How would you describe your own style?
My style of music is really whatever I think of at that time and if it sounds good I’ll write it and connect it in whatever topic I was thinking on.

What would be your dream venue in which to perform?
It would be dream to sell out any venue but I gotta say, The Garden. I means it’s every artist’s dream to sell out the biggest venue.

What are the main inspirations for the lyrics you write?

NBA young boy got me inspired to make an impact on music, and I’m doing just that. So shout out to Youngboy, an da whole GG crew.
