As the project Straight out of Chicago, multi-talented musician that goes by Ace releases his new project titled "Who Is Oochie?" and he explains to us that he wants people to see that he has been grinding his whole life going through obstacles. Although they get in his way, he never let anything get in the way of the true passion he has for music and the grind that it has provided him with. Staying humble through all the ups and downs, he took no days off to get where he is today and treating everyday like it’s his last. He aims to affect many people so his voice can be heard and so his music acts as a verbal legacy.
Ace, as confident and calm as he is when he transitions from slow, very meaningful rap to hard basses and upbeat cohesions, explains that he wants to be heard and his desire cannot go unanswered. As his project was only released two days, it has amassed over 6k plays. Prior to the release of "Who Is Oochie?", Ace hopped on Twitter to show people that he wasn't done and had a lot more where that came from because of the numbers he has achieved. He has over 18M plays in just 2018 and other projects totaled over 30.1M streams all-time.
Being from Chicago, Illinois, he grew up on the Westside 290. A lot of his influences are from the hip-hop filled vicinity that makes up Chicago today. He grew up not necessarily having the easiest time; growing up parents working both jobs so he always stayed in the streets at a young age. Being around his older cousins and uncles, they basically taught him the ways. The 29-year-old been rapper has started making his impact when he was 12. The flows he puts together, the lyrics melodized, and the influences looked up upon all started from the music he listened to. He get a lot of my flows and influences from a few rappers such as Future, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. A lot of the influence came from Travis, he told us that he can relate to him a lot. They both love to write and produce. Cole and Kendrick definitely affects Ace a lot because he adapts to their lyrics and flows.
