It appears that Post Malone is trying to release new music before the end of 2018! Looking back, earlier in the year Malone dropped Beerbongs & Bentleys, but he’s also had a string of bad luck (thanks to a pesky curse), spent $40K on fast food delivery, he chopped off his signature locks and he’s dropped a Crocs collab. The rapper took to Twitter Tuesday night, November 20th, sharing some interesting news and talking about various topics. Saying in a tweet that he’s, “Trying to put out a new body of work before the end of the year but we all know how that goes wish me luck k,” he wrote. What kinda body of work that might be, is unclear.
As well as releasing solo material, Malone also recorded a song with Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee earlier this year for the soundtrack to the upcoming animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The success of his album has also secured him headlining slots at next year's Reading and Leeds Festival in England, as well as Lollapalooza Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. If that isn’t enough fame, country music star Keith Urban recently described Post as the "real deal" after working with him in the studio.
He said: "I love Post. He's the real deal. He's so eclectic, so steeped in all kinds of music. I love him."
Post Malone dropped his second studio album, Beerbongs & Bentleys, back in April, and it’s had some pretty big success. As Hot New Hiphop notes, the album reached no. 1 the Billboard 200 chart, which sold “461k album equivalent units” during its debut week. With Post Malone’s 2018 ending fairly busy, the rapper recently made the announcement that his 2019 will just be as chaotic as this year. Right now he is on tour until May 2019. Will 2019 be Post’s most chaotic year, only time can tell.
