19 year old Sean Bay lived half of his life in Toronto and the rest of it in the states, Having been around music all his life, he began playing piano since age 5 and through out the years his taste for music grew, "I started off listening to a lot of classic rock then slowly over the years moved towards hip hop and r&b. That’s how I think I gained the love I have for music, I enjoyed a great variety of styles and it really opened my ear to sound. So after listening to all these artists that I loved and worshiped, one day it just hit me like maybe I should try and make music myself and from their on it was a long journey that grew into what I’m doing right now. I’d say some of my inspirations are Pink Floyd, Queen, and in like the whole hip hop scene def Drake and others from that whole camp like partynextdoor etc.."
Sean's passion for music cuts deep. "My purpose behind this whole music path is what makes me different, I truly have a passion for what I do and it speaks in my work. I also have a sound that I think no one can compare to any other artist and I think it’s the variety of music I grew up listening to. It really blended together, so there’s not just one sound or style I create. My music is an emotion. It’s art, it’s something you appreciate and over time holds value. I like to capture my emotions whenever I’m in the studio and like bottle it up for the listener in a form of a song. I really spent time crafting my sound and every piece I release is like a painting or artwork like 1 of 1 put out for the world to enjoy."
Along with passion for music lies insecurities and doubts. Sean keeps his eyes forward with a set goal for his music. "(The goal) is for it to be appreciated and respected and be able to see my work inspire someone to chase after whatever they love in this world. I see myself and my music changing a lot of people’s lives in the future, for the better. I just want to put out good shit for people to enjoy like at the end of the day I just want to be happy and this shit makes me happy. Music is my life and probably is the same for a lot of other people. This shit will get you through anything, helps you learn yourself, and escape all the other shit in your world. It’s Honestly a beautiful thing and I know for a fact that I would not be here rn if wasn’t for music."
