On January 20th, NLE Choppa posted on Twitter that he moved the release date of his album "Me vs. Me" to a week later to pay respects to the late artist Young Dolph, as Paper Route Empire has released a tribute album to Young Dolph. Then he deleted the post.
Rumors quickly spread that NLE Choppa really just wanted to take on NBA YoungBoy, who had been going up against him for the past two weeks and also released a new album this week.
The conflict between NLE Choppa and NBA YoungBoy was quite tense when Choppa had a fight with NBA YoungBoy fans at the airport. NBA YoungBoy also posted provocative images to NLE Choppa and Lil Durk last Wednesday.
In a previous interview, NLE Choppa shared that he wants 2022 to be his most successful year ever. He wants to focus on self-improvement so that in future years, he will look back at this year as a meaningful year of his life. He doesn't want to focus on rap beefs.
