The joint album between Nas and DJ Premier has been mentioned since 2007 in their interview with Scratch. Fifteen years have passed and except for the fact that we've heard them mentioning it many times, but the album never came out.
Recently Nas talked about his joint album with DJ Premier again, but the exciting part is that it is mentioned through the lyrics in the song "30" from the new album "King's Disease 3" by Nas.
"Doesn't matter this is sheer relief, I feel the breeze this is/ Superhero material, rap star status/ Premier album still might happen," Nas raps.
The two started working together after DJ Premier listened to Nas's "Halftime" for the first time. The talented producer fell in love with the track and immediately worked with Large Professor, Q-Tip, and Pete Rock to produce Nas's debut album.
Nas and Dj Premier latest collaborated was a few months ago on the track "Beat Breaks" from Preemo's new EP "Hip Hop 50: Vol 1."
Let's hope we get a joint album of their collaboration in the near future. Now listen to "30" below:
