Just a few days after the announcement of his fifth album release, on January 7th The Weeknd finally released his new album titled "Dawn FM". This album is considered a continuation of the blockbuster "After Hours" that has hit all music fronts in the past two years.
"You're listening to 103.5 Dawn FM", Jim Carrey reported at the end of the first track in The Weeknd's new album.
Dawn FM affirmed The Weeknd's strong creativity when he chose the concept for this album, which is 16 songs that are played like a radio station we listen to in the car while on the road.
Not only from the concept but also from the album cover of "Dawn FM", The Weeknd shocked fans when transforming into an old version of himself. While in "After Hours", he appeared with a full face bandage and failed plastic surgery.
The album features artists and producers such as Quincy Jones, Calvin Harris, Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Oscar Holter, Oneohtrix Point Never, Swedish House Mafia, and actor Jim Carrey...
The Weeknd continues to choose to use the music that makes him successful such as Synth Pop and Disco Pop, mixed with R&B. The highlight in this album is actually The Weeknd's vocals.
If "After Hours" was a night of pains and wounds at three o'clock in the morning, then "Dawn FM" is the "dawn" - the first light appearing on the sky after a long dark night.
