In 2019 and onward, Clonefluence will be releasing its annual "Elementary Class" list. The issue features ten artists-to-watch come up, all appearing on the cover. The list will only be consisting of underground rappers and R&B artists, as well as artists considered to be on the rise. The list will be creating a significant buzz among listeners and artists alike, and is credited for giving many artists their first taste of recognition.
The surprise 2019 Clonefluence Elementary Class has arrived. Beginning that this is only the first edition, the Clonefluence franchise has exploded into popularity over the past few years thanks to the internet, social media and, more importantly, the underground hip-hop and R&B fans. From this year onward, the Clonefluence Elementary Class will come together the same way as XXL would for the Freshman Class. This class is specially made to give underground artists the recognition they deserve to show that their hard work, motivation, and dedication is being recognized by somebody, but not quite the “Freshman Class”. We have worked with millions of artists in different ways and this is just one of the ways we’d like to give back to the community for keeping up with our updates for so long. We’re doing this purely as our thanks to you. As a Clonefluence family, team, and empire, we’d like to thank everyone who has helped us get this far.
More importantly, we talk to everyone we possibly can to make decisions regarding the ten spots for the class—underground industry tastemakers, rappers, fellow underground hip-hop heads, and most importantly blogs—to get their input on who they think should be picked for the class regarding being the most influential in the underground scene. Then we argue it out as a staff and narrow down the list.
After days of discussing with the team, we wanted to surprise everyone with this recognition. Without further adieu, the first edition of Clonefluence’s Elementary Class includes Terner, Ace, Sity XX, Meeke, JT5K, Auxycodone, Glodeinmane, GxneTilNxvember, Yajj, and E-Mann. Congratulations to everyone on the list and to the only female artist, Yajj.
Keep in mind there were no submissions for this, this is just us doing our job.
Over the next month, Clonefluence will be releasing content from the members of the first annual Elementary Class including freestyles, solo interviews and discussions so that fans can get to know each artist and what they represent so please stay tuned.
