Over the past few years, female rapper Latto has risen to the top and established her place in the hip-hop arena. She released her own EP in the late 2010's and was introduced to audiences around the world in 2019 with the release of her breakout single "Bi*** from da Souf." She also released her debut album "Queen of da Souf" the following year.
On March 25, Latto released "777." The 13-song "777" project demonstrated Latto's ability and helped her assert her rapping and lyrics writing skills.
The Georgia-born rapper has huge artist features like 21 Savage, Childish Gambino, Lil Wayne, Nardo Wick, Kodak Black and Lil Durk on her album.
"777" also includes her hit track "Big Energy" remixed and featuring special vocal from Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled's musical prowess. Latto recently expressed the great joy behind this legendary collaboration. She took it to Twitter to share her feelings.
The release of "777" was also not easy for Latto. Prior to the album's release, Latto revealed that a male rapper wouldn't let her remove his guest verse on the project, because she didn't reciprocate him with sex. "As a female rapper, I'm clearing up my album right now," she said in an interview with Los Angeles' Power 92.3. "It's been difficult to deal with these men. They don't know how to keep it business."
